A boilermaker by trade, John has served as CEO since 1994. He has more than 30 years of industrial maintenance and construction experience. John is responsible for overall management and for ensuring we remain nimble and customer focused.
Herb Gill, CPA, CGA
Herb joined CIMS in 2007 as Controller and was appointed President in 2017 following a stint as COO. He spent more than 25 years in the pulp and paper sector and has a strong background in finance and operations. Herb is responsible for plotting and guiding our business growth.
Patrick McGinley, P.Eng., MBA
Patrick joined CIMS in January 2015. Patrick’s background includes more than 30 years in construction and project management experience working for both owner and contractor. Patrick was working at the Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill in Kamloops when CIMS performed their first job 25 years ago, and has worked alongside CIMS ever since. Patrick manages day-to-day operations across all divisions.
Dennis Thompson, CPA, CMA
Dennis joined CIMS in 2012. He has been a senior financial professional for more than 30 years and an operations manager in the forest industry. Dennis is responsible for Finance and Administration for CIMS and its subsidiaries.
VP Business Development
Eric joined CIMS in 2013 with the acquisition of Kamtech Services and took on the role of VP Operations BC. In 2016, Eric took on the role of VP Business Development. He has more than 20 years of experience in general management, construction, maintenance, project and labour relations management serving the pulp and paper, oil and gas, power generation and mining industries. Eric is responsible for Business Development for CIMS across the organization.
Jamin Davies, MBA
VP Operations BC
Jamin joined CIMS in April 2015. Jamin’s career with boilers, maintenance and construction started when he was a Marine Engineer in the Navy. Jamin has more than 20 years of construction and project management experience serving the pulp and paper, oil and gas and power generation industries. Jamin is responsible for ensuring we deliver on safety, quality and performance commitments to customers in British Columbia.
VP Operations Alberta / Saskatchewan
Imre joined CIMS in February 2013 as General Manager for Alberta and was appointed VP Operations Alberta and Saskatchewan in October 2016. He has more than 30 years of industrial and maintenance experience both in Pulp and Paper and Petrochemical and Refinery sectors. Imre is responsible for all business operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
VP Operations Eastern Canada
Adrian joined Chemfab in May of 2015 and was formerly a Project Manager and business partner in Chemfab Industries. Adrian graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1996 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and has been serving the Sarnia Chemical/Petrochemical Industry for 30 years on both the contractor and client side. He is currently responsible for operations in the Eastern Canada, ensuring delivery of growth in the division while maintaining the operating values of Safety, Quality, Customer Value, Performance and Integrity.
Kelly Rayne, CHSEP
Director – Health & Safety
Kelly joined CIMS in April of 2002 as a Safety Lead in the field and was appointed Director of Health and Safety in 2015. Kelly has 35 years in industrial construction experience across numerous industries including oil and gas, pipelines, pulp and paper, mining hydro dams, communication towers, and structural steel.
Director – Quality Assurance
George joined CIMS in 2012 and has more than 40 years experience as a weld technologist in the construction environment. George is responsible for managing and maintaining CIMS Quality Program and Certifications with ASME, CWB and National Board. George also plays a key role in developing weld procedures to address our customer’s maintenance and construction challenges.
Mike McKay, CPA, CGA; CPA (Delaware); BBA (Hons)
Director of Finance
Mike joined CIMS in September 2015 and has more than 25 years of financial management experience from large public organizations to start ups. In addition to the construction management industry, Mike has also worked in the manufacturing, logistics and technology industries. Mike oversees operational financial matters including project controls, rates management, project reporting, corporate budgets and forecasts.
Director of Project Controls
A computer engineer technician by trade, Mike has served as Director of Project Controls since 2016. Mike has spent 16 years in the industry gaining knowledge from the ground up on projects of varying complexity. Mike has used unconventional, out of the box thinking at project controls, bringing new ideas and the tools needed to manage today’s micro to macro projects. Mike is responsible for the planning, cost, schedule and change management of maintenance and construction projects.
General Manager – Saskatchewan & Manitoba
Todd is a journeyman welder by trade with a Masters Certificate in Project Management. Todd has worked in the construction industry for 25 years, the last 9 years with CIMS. Todd is responsible for management of all regional construction, maintenance, and fabrication shop activities including safety, estimating, quality control, project management, client relations, and building trade labour relations.
General Manager – Kootenay Division
Gordon joined CIMS in April 2013 and was appointed General Manager in May 2015. He has 22 years experience in the industrial maintenance and construction sector and ten of those as a senior manager.
Sarin Raj, MBA, CPA, CGA
Sarin joined CIMS in 2007 as an Intermediate Accountant and was promoted to Controller in 2008. Sarin is responsible for all aspects of accounting functions and financial reporting. She also ensures that the best financial framework and practices are in place for our business.
