We are committed to giving local and Indigenous rights-holders every opportunity to participate in the economic benefits of our operations and are cognizant of the impact, both positive and negative that bringing out of town workers into a community can have. We want to make a difference in the communities in which we do business – maximizing the economic benefits and minimizing any potential effects.

Indigenous Relations

CIMS Ltd - First NationsAs a major employer of building trades, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure greater accessibility to educational opportunities for Indigenous youth. We see engagement of youth as a collaborative effort where industry, training and service providers, and Indigenous communities all have a role to play.

We work with individuals and communities to provide well-paid employment that can strengthen local Indigenous’ economies. We are committed to supporting cohorts from initial training in building trades through to provincially recognized (Red Seal) journeyperson status. Together we can have a significant mutually beneficial, long-term and far-reaching positive impact.
